Provides support services in the area of Human Resources. This position includes recruitment, hiring, background and reference checks, required forms, handbook updates, leave of absence, workers compensation, and employee training.
Responsible for supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including construction, cleaning, maintenance, grounds, and security. These Directors are skilled at developing long-term maintenance strategies/budgeting, project management, and working closely with the school leadership team to meet the community goals.
Oversees building and grounds maintenance. Operates and maintains custodial functions. Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly. Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
Develop and implement security policies and procedures necessary for protecting the campus and students. They design and educate employees on emergency response action. They also implement safety regulations and procedures to minimize the risk of campus injuries or death.
This is the journey-level class in the series. Performs maintenance work as a specialist and a lead worker in areas such as landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, irrigation, electrical, and equipment operation and maintenance. Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of staff performing a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of campus grounds, structures, and equipment. Also performs other work as required.
Oversees all landscaping grounds. Performs daily grounds keeping and landscaping maintenance work. Plans, schedules, and coordinates routine, and special landscape projects, in addition to assigning tasks. Oversees and trains other personnel responsible for the grooming and maintaining of facilities grounds.
This is the journey-level class in the series. Perform maintenance work as a specialist and a lead worker in areas such as landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, irrigation, electrical, and equipment operation and maintenance; plan, assign and review the work of staff performing a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of campus grounds, structures and equipment; and to do other work as required.
This is a semi-skilled worker class in the series. MT II are skilled in operating light equipment and power tools, perform semi-skilled pruning and landscape care tasks, and are able to apply the techniques and use the tools of one or more of these categories; carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, small equipment repair or welding. Also included is the assignment and training of one or more unskilled workers.
Is the trainee in the series. Initially, under close supervision, MT I perform routine grounds and building maintenance, gardening, clean-up and unskilled manual work and learn to operate equipment such as mowers, and to perform semi-skilled work in varying craft areas. MT I are expected to promote to the next level of MT II after they have demonstrated satisfactory performance and have reached the required level of proficiency.
Responsibilities will include; tidying up and restocking restrooms, keeping the campus pristine clean, maintaining the break room, breaking down boxes received during the day, and addressing any cleaning issue that must be taken care of during their shift, including handling emergencies and special request cleaning.
Is responsible for leading and coordinating the work of Custodian positions in cleaning the inside of buildings and other facilities, performing minor maintenance and moving furniture and office equipment; ensures that assigned duties are completed on schedule and are done well within the area assigned
Cleaning and supplying designated building areas. Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities. Carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
This position is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the students and campus, fostering an optimal learning environment and acting as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by providing high visibility throughout the school, walking and surveying hallways, common areas, grounds and parking lots and enforcing safe school policies regarding weapons, tobacco, illegal substances, traffic rules, dress code, etc.
Are responsible for maintaining the landscape of a business or park. Essential duties include mowing lawns, removing weeds, trimming shrubs, planting new greenery, and removing unwanted trees.
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Obtains help by sounding alarms. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
